Eber Christopher

Eber Christopher

Eber Christopher has made training, stallion management, and shoeing his career.  After a lifetime of practical experience, he has decided to pass on his knowledge and philosophy of horse handling to anyone who wishes to learn the What, How, and Why of training.

After years of showing with great success, Eber’s greatest pleasure comes from teaching and helping others to train and show their own horses and watching them achieve their goals and succeed in their chosen discipline.

One of Eber’s areas of expertise is reining.  It was over ten years ago he did reining demonstrations at the Iowa Horse Fair and people who were there still remember his performance.

David Genadek

David Genadek

David Genadek (www.aboutthehorse.com) is a master saddle maker who has spent the last 30 years pursuing a deeper understanding of how saddles function. He has studied anatomy under Dr Deb Bennett of Equine studies Institute, who teaches a systems approach to equine biomechanics. This background is integral to the design of the saddle lines he produces. In addition to his studies in the area of horse biomechanics he has pursued a deeper understanding of the role the saddle plays in the riders position with leading experts in the area such as Peggy Cummings.

David currently is president of About the horse Inc a saddle manufacturer promoting excellence in horsemanship through knowledge and AnatoTree Ltd a saddle tree company getting back to the bare bones of saddle fit.  In addition to building saddles David also conducts clinics and webinars around the world on the subject of saddle fit.

David’s clinics are known for being fast paced, information packed good times. The goal is always to bring his participants to a clearer understanding of their roll in their horse’s life.  Attendees leave with a well rounded perspective of the many different approaches to saddle fitting. In order to do this David takes you on a journey through history, exploring the very soul of horsemanship.  A soul he has come to know through the help of Elizabeth Graves on their ranch in Spring Valley, MN.

Michelle Blackler

Michelle Blackler's odyssey with horses began when she was four years old and has taken her from humble beginnings in Iowa to the United Kingdom and back.  Blackler has shown horses under saddle in multiple disciplines, bred Morgan horses, trained carriage driving champions [both human and equine] and established the first non profit therapeutic riding and driving program in central Iowa.

She cites her most notable accomplishments as working with individuals with disabilities, who helped her develop teaching techniques for everyone involving body awareness.  On a trail ride or in top level competition, Blackler's clients report her teaching of physical and mental awareness produces increased trust and performance for them and their horses.  They also note an increased level of functioning in their daily life as a result of her instruction: less aches and pains due to better posture, and decreased stress levels as a result of more effective problem solving skills.  Blackler will demonstrate the relationship between body awareness and performance at the Iowa Horse Fair on April 10, 11, 2010.  For more information: www.hossbiz.com.
