IHC Scholarships
Applications are DUE by February 15 of the current year.
The application materials for the Iowa Horse Council education scholarships are available to IHC members in equine community who would like to continue or enhance their education.
To apply for an IHC monetary scholarship, please read the materials carefully. There are three distinct application procedures. If you wish to apply:
- select the one application process that applies to you.
- complete and submit all the application materials by the deadline above.
To make your selection easier, the application guidelines are:
- Renewal: for any student who has, at any time, previously received an IHC scholarship.
- Current High School Graduate: for high school graduates
- Open: for any student other than described above, including but not limited to graduate students.
Each applicant must submit the General Application along with the information requested on Part 2 of each scholarship.
Each application must be filled out correctly and all necessary materials must be received by the deadline. Any application that is incomplete or missing any of the requested materials as outlined in the application process, or received past the deadline can not be considered.
Letters of recommendation can be sent to the address listed on the materials, but it is the responsibility of the applicant to confirm letters are received by the deadline date.
Applicants awarded an IHC scholarship, will be notified by March 15, 2009 or before. Scholarship names will be asked to assist in some way at the Iowa Horse Fair and be present for the award ceremony, which is also also held at the Iowa Horse Fair.
