Iowa DNR Seeks Equine Campground Hosts

by admin on February 22, 2016

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is seeking volunteer camp ground hosts at Brushy Creek State Park in the South Equine Campground. Hosts live on property and help DNR staff with light duties around the park for the summer. This is a non-paid position, however hosts are provided free camping while they are volunteering with the DNR.

The DNR always prefers a full time retired host, but would be happy to at least have a host on site for the weekends and could have two hosts split the duties and do two weekends a month. Generally, hosts need to be in place early to mid-April and serve through October.

More details can be found on our website at http://www.iowadnr.gov/About-DNR/Volunteer-Opportunities.
