IOWA HORSE COUNCIL

The application materials for the Iowa Horse Council education scholarships are available to IHC members in equine community who would like to continue or enhance their education.

Requirements for eligibility: 

1. High school senior or older. 

2. Iowa resident. 

3. Current member of the Iowa Horse Council in good standing. 

 

To apply for an IHC monetary scholarship, please read the materials carefully. If you wish to apply: 

1. Select the one application process that applies to you. 

   • Current High School Senior: for high school seniors about to graduate OR 

   • Open: for any student other than described above, including but not limited to graduate students. 

2. Complete and submit all the application materials by the deadline below.

Each applicant must submit the General Application along with the information requested on Part 2 of each scholarship.

Each application must be filled out correctly and all necessary materials must be received by the deadline date of February 1st. Any application that is incomplete or missing any of the requested materials as outlined in the application process, or received past the deadline, cannot be considered. Please note that the Iowa Horse Council is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail.

Letters of recommendation can be sent to the address listed on the materials, but it is the responsibility of the applicant to confirm letters are received by the deadline.

Applicants who are awarded an IHC scholarship, will be notified by March 30th. Scholarships will be presented to the recipients at the Iowa Horse Fair and scholarship recipients will be required to assist in some manner at the Iowa Horse Fair.
